AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): Addiction has gripped the young generation in Tripura. Despite the presence of CCTV cameras, private security guards and police force in Bishalgarh Hospital, several youths are allegedly consuming drugs inside the Hospital premises. Amid raise of such allegations, two youths were caught red-handed while consuming drugs.
It is known that inside Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional hospital, the OPD ward and toilets have been chosen by the drug dealers as safe places for consuming drugs.
Around 9:30 am on Thursday, two youths from Lalsingmura Amtali were intoxicating themselves with drugs and a series of injections, inside the toilet of Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. Hospital’s security guards after spotting the 2-drug addicts managed to catch them. Later the Bishalgarh PS Police were informed, the Police rushed to the spot and detained both the drug-addicted person, Sumit Debbarma and Khirod Debbarma from inside the toilet of Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital and brought them to the police station.
