TELIAMURA, Feb 21 (TIWN): In another shocking report, a mother reportedly delivered her baby in auto on Tuesday as she reached late in Teliamura hospital due to pathetic road condition which caused hour-long delay to reach the hospital. She belongs to Teliamura Laltila area’s Duski’s Dukhai Jamadar Para. The road in her locality has left in pathetic shape for many years and there is no initiative by the local authority to fix the road. The mother Sapna Debbarma was suffering from labour pain and her family members rushed her to the hospital but the road condition is so pathetic that it took hours to reach Teliamura hospital and in auto she delivered the baby boy.

Doctor said, the delivery date was months later, although the baby is stable but has been referred for special care. Mother’s health is also stable. Both the mother and baby boy have been referred to GB hospital for better care.

The boy is yet premature but the Doctor said, there is nothing to worry much. However, now the mother and the baby will have to travel a lot again due to the referral from Teliamura hospital to Agartala GB Hospital.
