AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Allegedly, without evidence, just based on FIR Tipra Motha workers were arrested for Simna BJP candidate attack incident. But in case of Bishalgarh attack Tipra Motha candidate, no BJP worker was arrested. In protest Tipra Motha workers blocked road in Hejamara. Reportedly, yesterday late night, miscreants attacked the BJP nominated candidate of Simna Constituency No. 1, Binod Debbarma, vandalized the car of BJP supporters, injured several people. A complaint was filed against Tipra Matha workers by BJP. And 15 Tipra Matha activists and supporters were arrested in this incident. In protest, Tipra Matha workers blocked the road in Sanibazar area on Khowai-Agartala National Highway, demanding the release of 15 Tipra Matha activists and supporters who were arrested by Sidhai Police.

A large police force and paramilitary forces have been deployed to control the agitators. The road blockade is still going on.
