AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): Recalling various attack incidents in Tripura on Trinamool leaders in 2020-21, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday after landing in Agartala MBB Airport said, “When nobody was in Tripura to stand against BJP’s one-way torture on the people, journalists, that time, Trinamool stood beside all”. “Journalists were severely attacked at that time. I do not know what is exactly happening right now and I believe the same things are going on. Our party members were attacked. From Sushmita, Kakoli, Rajib Banerjee to Abhishek who didn’t face the attack?”, said Banerjee.
“Tripura is not new for me. Since the Congress era, I have worked here. Tripura is my home…..”, Mamata Banerjee added.
Mamata Banerjee has arrived in Tripura for a two day visit and to address a rally.
Tripura Election is scheduled to be held on February 16 and the result will be declared on March 2nd.
