AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): ‘We all will Ssnk if the boat sinks as we are now on a same boat’, Birjit Sinha told party workers on Friday who are upset over seat-sharing issue between Left, Congress. Congress had to withdraw important candidates like Kesav Sarkar from Jirania, Titan Pal from Udaipur’s R.K.Pur constituency which had generated resentment among a section of Congress workers. To stop such differences between parties, Congress State President Birjit Sinha has appealed to all Congress workers to get united to unseat the BJP. Today morning, Udaipur Titan Pal on his social media said, “I am on field. You too join. We all are going to form the Govt”.
On Friday morning CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury visited Congress state President Birjit Sinha’s house.
Addressing media, Birjit Sinha told party workers, “We are now sailors of a same boat. If the boat sinks then all will be sunk and so let’s work together with a same mission”.
According to opposition, BJP is an evil force and restoration of democracy is not possible unless BJP is unseated from Tripura.
On the other hand, BJP said, the party believes in development and BJP’s agenda will be focussed on “developmental issues”.
Congress has shared 13 seats with the Left front and independent candidates’ aligned force against BJP.
