Agartala, January 18 (TIWN): Ahead of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election, to reinforce the organizational strength in Agartala, member of Pradesh Congress Committee- Baptu Chakraborty formally got new responsibility here today.

In a meeting at Congress Bhavan, Pradesh Congress Committee formally found Baptu Chakraborty fit for the responsibility and asked him to carry out the responsibilities accordingly to strengthen the organizational structure of Congress in Agartala, said a party source.

According to the source, a decision for visiting every ward by the youth squad at least once in a week was also adopted in the meeting today. Though there is no specific post for this responsibility but it will be significant for the party, said source.

President of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC)- Birjit Sinha, working president Pradyut Kishore Debbarman, MLA Gopal Roy, Councilors Ratna Datta and Tushar Bhattacharjee, state president of National Students’ Federation of India- Bapi Das and many other Congress leaders and workers attended the meeting.
