Addressing the issue, Congress MLA Sudip Barman told Congress leaders that they should not forget that the main target of the Congress and other non-BJP parties has been to remove the BJP from power.

Barman said, just because of personal issues, party activists should not hurt the spirit of the poll.  

Congress declared 17 candidates’ names in a signal to Left Front to negotiate with 4 seats which the Left already declared.

However, Barman said, unity between Left and Congress for this poll has remained same further mentioning that media should correct its term of alliance as Congress and Left Front are not in alliance, it’s just seat sharing.
