AGARTALA, Jan 25 (TIWN): When a massive crisis already is existing inside the BJP party over candidate selection, Tripura’s regional party Tipra Motha’s final stage discussion with Home Minister Amit Shah although cheered BJP supporters about ADC vote bank, but the candidates resented as seats will be slashed from the BJP.
BJP Party already has strong anti-Tipra Motha views among leaders like Jishnu Debbarman, Rampada Jamatia, MP Rebati Tripura. Moreover, both parties witnessed clashes between them many times in last few years. Tipra Motha's a major section workers are against alliance with BJP.
BJP MP Rebati Tripura told TIWN journalist while addressing after BJP’s Poll Committee meeting was ended that BJP has sent 60 candidates’ names for the election and the rest will be decided by the Centre.
Sources say, for one seat, BJP has suggested multiple names due to huge demands for tickets.
State leaders have rushed to Delhi with the candidates’ list. However, state leaders including Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma skipped talking anything about further seat sharing with any other party.
Tripura Election is to be held on February 16 and the result will be published on March 2nd.
