Netizens are divided as Tipra Motha’s supporters' major portion is from GMP, non-BJP, Congress background and there is massive propaganda that if not pre-poll, Tipra Motha will go in Post poll alliance with BJP. In that condition, Tipra Motha Supremo continues to give updates from Delhi saying, "no alliance was confirmed".

However, in 2018 IPFT and BJP created same situation of confusion where state BJP was silent about Tipraland issue and Central BJP, IPFT were busy making papers, resulted in JUMLA. State BJP can not support greater Tipraland as 40 seats will be affected then in the non-ST areas.
