AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): Although candidates’ list is yet to be declared by the political parties for Tripura Assembly Election, but so far it is confirmed that long-time MLA of Bordowali constituency Asish Saha will again fight from there against Chief Minister Saha who has recently defeated Asish Saha in by-poll, the poll which witnessed massive fake vote-casting, booth capturing and violence, stopping voters from entering the booths.
All these poll related crimes are video recorded and no allegation is fabricated which can be found on YouTube and social media.
Today Asish Saha held his first door-to-door campaigning in Bordowali, whereas CM Manik Saha already started his campaigning 15 days back.
Asish Saha said, the by-poll was won by rigging and violence and this time, people will not allow rigging to happen again. Saha is also expecting Election Commission’s neutral role on Assembly poll day.
Asish Saha quit BJP by resigning from MLA post last year due to which a by-poll was held. Massive rigging, voters complaint, and fake voters were witnessed in that poll and Asish Saha lost the election, but in the Assembly poll, Saha will again challenge CM Manik Saha.
Tripura Assembly poll to be held on February 16. Poll results will be declared on March 2nd.
