N.C. Debbarma was suffering for many days due to age related diseases. On Sunday he breathed his last at GB Hospital. On 30th December N.C.Debbarma suffered from brain-stroke.

He was 85 years old, holding the Dept of Revenue and Forest under the BJP-IPFT’s aligned Govt since 2018. He was former Director of All India Radio, Agartala.

N.C.Debbarma has been the parental leader of IPFT and chief leader of the party to take the separate state’s demand on peak. But since BJP-IPFT’s alliance in 2018 and Govt formation, IPFT lost its glory as being in Govt it turned impossible to continue the appeal for a separate state consequenced into a massive loss of IPFT in ADC poll. IPFT party also broke into many parts and a new party Tipra Motha took over IPFT’s status among the indigenous population.
