AGARTALA, Dec 26 (TIWN): 736 Offer Letters have been distributed among the job candidates by the Director of Elementary Education on Monday. Tripura schools are right now suffering due to the massive teachers’ crisis. Teaching job aspirant Qualified Candidates are also waiting to be recruited. Protests are going on by other candidates who didn’t get recruitment under graduate posts. However, amid all these, today the Govt has released 736 offer letters for primary teachers. It was said that their posting will also be shortly given.
Over thousands of TET qualified who passed STGT is still unemployed. Recently during protests, they faced police brutality. Due to a court case their recruitment was paused but now the court has removed all barriers to recruitment as the case was quashed.
Later STGT qualified candidates were told by Education Minister that due to no approval from Finance Dept, they can not be recruited. That statement led the STGT-qualified candidates to meet Deputy CM cum Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarman.
Jishnu Debbarman assured them that their issue will be raised to the CM. However, no update of the issue was given then.
