AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): Minister Bhagaban Das along with SC welfare dept officials visited Krishna Nagar Bhagini Niveditia Girls hostel after massive allegation had raised against the hostel superintendent about harassing the students and not at all taking care of students’ needs. Hostel Superintendent was unaware about the kitchen situation, whereas the Minister’s surprise visit found that kitchen is in unhygienic condition, basins are not cleans and the vegetables which were stocks are all dried and pathetic quality. However, on being asked, the Minister did not speak much about the situation and said, everything is okay whereas resentment against the mess and other issues were visible.

Students recently met Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath telling him about the situation and how the girls are not allowed to go outside even during medical emergencies after evening. The hostel superintendent allegedly does not cooperate and also told the students not to get ill after 8 O’Clock.

When media asked, the hostel superintendent Tripti Saha turned speechless over the meal’s condition and assured it will be improved. She also said, she keeps a check on that matter. However, she alleged that since she asked the girls not to wear short dresses inside hostel the girls started agitating against her.
