AGARTALA, Dec 15 (TIWN): A daring robbery incident occurred at a grocery store in Bishalgarh Daspara. A cash box containing Rs 40,000 was taken by a group of thieves late on Wednesday night.
The shop owner was shocked to see the theft incident in the shop after entering the shop at 7 O’clock in the morning on Thursday.
Reportedly, Prasenjit Das of Daspara area adjacent to Noapara Loknath Ashram under Vishalgarh police station went home after closing shop on Wednesday night like any other day. He came to the shop at 7 in the morning on Thursday and found that a group of thieves broke the back door of his grocery shop and looted the Cashbox containing Rs 40,000 including Rs 10,000 items.
All the people of the area started gathering in front of Prasenjit Das's shop after the news of the incident came to light.
Some mischievous youths who consume drugs in the area are involved in this incident, said Prasenjit Das. He also said that theft incidents often occur at houses in the area.
