KAILASHAHAR, Sep 9 (TIWN): Satyabrat Nath, Additional District Magistrate of Unkoti District, said in a press conference on Friday afternoon at the Unkoti District Magistrate's office in Kailashahar, that objections can be made to cancel dead people’s names from voter list along with raising various demands related to the poll until December 15.
In the press conference, Additional District Magistrate Satyabrata Nath said in more detail that the deadline for objections in the voter list has been extended from December 8 to December 15 and the final draft list will be published on January 5, 2023.
He also said that there are four assembly constituencies in the entire Unakoti district. Among them, 50-Pabiachhara and 51-Fatikra are two assembly constituencies reserved for scheduled castes.
Moreover, the two assembly constituencies 52-Chandipur and 53-Kailasahar are general reserved seats.
There are 225 polling centers in the entire Unakoti district. Besides, there are two Electoral Registration Officers in the district.
