AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN): On the initiative of CPIM Mohanpur Divisional Committee under Bamutia Legislative Assembly, a memorial meeting was held for the late CPIM MLA Haricharan Sarkar of Bamutia Assembly constituency at Kalibazar under Bamutia Assembly Constituency. The meeting was attended by Manik Sarkar, the opposition leader of Tripura Assembly, family members of former Left MLA Haricharan Sarkar, CPIM West District Committee Secretary Ratan Das, CPIM Bamutia Mohanpur, Simna CPIM Region In-Charge PaBitra Kar, CPIM Mohanpur Divisional Committee Secretary Pranab Debbarma, CPIM Bamutia Region Committee Secretary Dinesh Biswas, along with other CPIM leadership and CPIM workers and supporters.

CPIM leaders’ tribute to late CPIM MLA Haricharan Sarkar and observed 1 minute silence.

Later CPIM state, divisional and regional committee leaders including late Haricharan Sarkar's son discussed various aspects of late CPIM MLA Haricharan Sarkar's regime and strongly criticized the ruling BJP. In the programme former CM Manik Sarkar, Pabitra Kar delivered a speech.
