AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN): Tripura Medical College (TMC) Doctors, Faculties led by the Teachers Association of Tripura Medical College and Dr. BRAM Teaching hospital placed a deputation to chairman of the society on 5th December after their salaries, EL, CL were deducted for reaching little late. In the deputation it was mentioned that due to a little late arriving, the TMC authority deducted CL/EL/salaries of the Doctors for the whole day. The targeted employees said that it was an “Insult” of the hardworking, dedicated employees of the hospital. Ironically, when biometric was applicable for the faculties, no biometric is needed for CEO, OSD like employees.

An employee of the hospital has informed media that such ongoing politics inside TMC is ruining the working atmosphere there. Some people are looting money through lobbyism.

It was observed that Chief Minister Manik Saha whose name is also in the Association as ex-member.

The resented faculties also mentioned instead of doing all these, society must vacate the posts of unnecessary persons who have zero contribution to society.

“……….Society always says about financial crunch. To minimize expenditure the authority should curtain the expenditure of unwanted administrative expenditure which was not there earlier and required by NMC………….Biometry of all salaried employees of society has to be there including GMHR, CEO, OSD. We hope the authority could realize the gravity of the situation”, stated the Teachers’ Association.

Recently in some of the newspapers of Tripura, it was published how Swapan Saha, CEO is getting central scale payment with zero contribution to TMC.

When students are burdened with over 67 lakhs of fees, and society cries over no funds, such politically-backed persons are looting hospital funds.

Few demands were raised by the Association and if by tonight a final decision is not taken, then the faculties will go in STRIKE.
