AGARTALA, Dec 5 (TIWN): ‘Everyone wants to change the system but the system one-day changes everyone…’, this proverb proved once again correct after a young Doctor Binoy Debnath who is an orthopaedic doctor was found in his private chamber in Udaipur when he was supposed to be at Santir Bazar hospital, as he is a Govt Doctor there. Journalists caught him red-handed and asked, why was he inside his private chamber instead of public service for which he was paid. In reply, Binoy Debnath said, “Everyone (each Doctor) does and so I do too”.
The Doctor was asked, whether there is any Govt guideline to do that. In reply he said, he does not have any permission to do that but as everyone does he is doing it.
“This is my home and I am doing it because a patient has come”, claimed the Doctor.
He also said, “If I get a call, then I will rush to the hospital”.
No Govt could control such illegal practices of Govt Doctors in the state. Right now, Tripura CM is himself a Doctor, but he is failing to educate Doctors yet with does and don’ts.
