AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): A 13 year’s old minor girl was raped in Udaipur by a 30 year old man and the nasty incident occurred in Bagma area under Udaipur sub-division. The rape accused was identified as Kanti Roy and the accused is a relative of the victim minor girl.

After the incident came to light on Thursday morning, the minor's family lodged a complaint at the Udaipur RK Pur Women PS about the rape incident.

On investigation of the incident, the police arrested the accused Kanti Roy and booked him under Indian Penal Code 376/506 IPC & 4 of POCSO Act 56/2022.

Investigating Officer Sub Inspector Purnima Das said the accused will be before Udaipur court tomorrow.
