AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): A village chairman along with 2 engineers was arrested by Teliamura police in connection with an incident.

Reportedly, the TSR personnel guarding the Baramura Gas Thermal Project Office sent information to the Teliamura Police Station about trouble in the area.  Accordingly, the police of Teliamura PS including Teliamura SDPO Prasoon Kanti Tripura rushed to the spot to control the situation.  In this regard SDPO said, in front of the main gate of the Baramura Gas Thermal Project office, a disturbance was occurred among TSECL workers and local people over some issue

It is known that the local people of the area locked the gate over the issue of work transactions. Later, the gate was unlocked with the intervention of the police.

Later, the police arrested Rajesh Debbarma  (Mechanical Engineer TSEL), Anirban Debnath (Engineer), and Ajay Rupini  (Village Chairman) and brought them to Teliamura PS for interrogation.

Presently, the police of Teliamura PS are interrogating the arrested two engineers and a village chairman, i.e. three persons, and are continuing to investigate the incident.
