AGARTALA, Nov 30(TIWN): BJP miscreant named Khoka Nath alias Jyotish organized a deadly attack on a Congress activist named Prabhat Malakar in Noyapara area on Tuesday night. The incident took place in Nayapara area under Dharmanagar police station.

Centering the attack on a Congress activist, a large group of Congress supporters led by Tripura Pradesh Congress Chayan Bhattacharya, North District Congress Secretary Kankaj De, and Youth Congress District President Nirupam filed a case at Dharmanagar PS also gheraoed Dharmanagar PS seeking arrest of the miscreant within 24 hours. 

While briefing about the incident, Tripura Pradesh Congress member Chayan Bhattacharya said, when Prabhat Malakar was coming out of his house on Tuesday evening, he was beaten up severely by a miscreant named Khoka Nath alias Jyotish, a member of the ruling BJP party. 

However, the reason behind the attack was allegedly for joining ‘Bharat Jodo Jatra’.
