AGARTALA, Nov 22 (TIWN): STGT Qualified candidates demanded the Govt to recruit all teaching jobs qualified candidates at a time as promised by the Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath. Ratan Lal Nath many times promised to the job aspirants that anyone qualified TET will be recruited by November month but till now thousands of qualified candidates’ futures are uncertain. Also, the election is nearby and there is no clarity from the Govt whether STGT-qualified candidates will be recruited now or not.
Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath in a press meeting repeatedly said that STGT-qualified candidates’ files were sent to the Finance Minister and as soon as Finance Dept will permit the recruitment, he will recruit the Teachers. But meeting the Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarman who is also the Deputy CM today morning, STGT qualified, job aspirants returned shocked after knowing that no file was exchanged between these two departments and that’s why STGT recruitment will be delayed for now. However, the Deputy CM assured the candidates to look after their matter but the job aspirants were unhappy with the meeting and expressed dissatisfaction.
Resented job aspirants then gheraoed Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s home but the Education Minister did not meet them. Moreover, police arrested all the agitating candidates to vacate the Minister’s housing area.
