AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): BJP Janajati Morcha recently had planned to gherao Ujjayanta Palace on 1st December and local newspapers confirmed the news. Expressing shocks over the decision of BJP, Tipra Motha party’s women wing leaders condemned the decision saying “Is this palace ground for politics? It is the symbol of 184 kings of Tripura who governed the state. May be BJP is not getting any ground for politics in Hills and as a result, it is now targeting the palace”. BJP’s decision was made in connection to Royal Scion Pradyot Manikya, who is the supremo of ADC ruling Tipra Motha party.
“We are shocked. People generally gherao Ministers’ residents, Party offices but this Rajbari (Palace) is not only the Tiprassa’s symbol but it belongs to whole Tripura”, said Tipra Motha party leader.
Tipra Motha further warned if such a dirty activity is done by the BJP then people will not spare BJP.
“We will not stay silent. Immediately BJP must withdraw the statement”, said Tipra Motha.
