AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN)Reportedly, in 2003 a primary school was built in Rangia Tila village under Teliamura to educate the young children from various ADC villages. Chakmaghat Upper Primary School was upgraded in 2009 and the class was upgraded to Class-8 from Class-1. It is known that currently there are 64 students from Class-1-8 in the school. Out of which there are 50 students in Primary section and 18 students in Upper primary section.
The headmaster of the school Rajkumar Chowdhury highlighted the problems of the school.
Talking about the problems of the school, the head teacher said that although there are enough indoor and outdoor sports equipment for the students, the students cannot play outdoor sports due to lack of playground. The school was built on hilly land and no boundary wall around. As a result, there is a high chance of accidents at any time. He also said that ceiling fans were set up in the rooms of students and teachers in the school a few months ago. But unfortunately there is no electricity connection in the school and shortage of drinking water. He claimed that there is a dire need for a science teacher in the school.
Meanwhile, the teachers of the school demanded that the state education department take necessary steps to address the problems of Chakma Ghat Upper Primary School.
