AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): Within 7 days of Kumarghat 16 years old girl’s gangrape incident, another minor girl was allegedly raped in Kalyanpur after some youths had kidnapped her and gangraped. The incident has generated panic in Khash Kalyanpur area. Local people gheraoed the Police Station demanding immediate arrests of the culprits. So far one person has been arrested and others are absconding. FIR was lodged against Aditya Das, Tapash Debnath and Ratan Debnath. Out of the three accused persons Tapash Debnath was arrested till now. SDPO Prasun Kanti Tripura has assured that all the culprits will be arrested and the victim will get justice. The victim was sent for medical examination and the investigation is underway.
On Kali Puja night at around 11 pm the minor girl was returning home with her relatives. Suddenly these miscreants attacked their vehicle and snatched their mobile phones, looted money. Since then the minor girl was going missing. Her family searched for her whole night but she was only found in the morning in injured condition.
On being asked, she described the entire matter to her family. She was kidnapped, taken to an abandoned area and gang-raped whole night.
Protesting the incident, local people gheraoed Kalyanpur PS on Wednesday seeking justice for the minor girl
Tipra Motha women leader Swapna Debbarma rushed to the spot and joined the protest. She said that she has talked to police and will make sure that all culprits should be taken behind the bar.
Sapna Debbarma also stated all the accused persons are BJP workers.
