AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): CPI-M National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on Friday while addressing the Astabal rally said that amid BJP’s many attempts to flop CPI-M’s rally by stopping trains, and vehicles and organizing attacks and threats, the people of Tripura have given a befitting reply to BJP via the Astabal rally.
Yechury said, it is equally a message for all the political parties, leaders showing what can happen when they do not work for the people.
“Today’s rally is a message that the people of Tripura will snatch their freedom again and democracy will be restored in the 2023 poll. Our politics is to enable the deaf Govt to listen to the people”, added Yechury.
“Either you have to listen to people or leave the chair……that’s the message of people of Tripura today to the BJP Govt”, said Yechury.
“Old projects are inaugurated again and again before votes in various states. Here also, many projects are being announced but nothing fulfilled”, Yechury said.
“3% unemployment rate has increased nationally which means more 4 crores youths became unemployed. The international organization ranked India at the top list of hunger-index but BJP Govt does not accept the fact and to hide the fact, these fake promises are underway”, said Yechury.
