AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): Though Nationally Covid cases are on rising in various states, Northeast state Tripura which is considered a Dengue-prone state has been in control of Dengue cases.
In various Districts, Dengue reports are taken in Dist-level meetings and sources informed that the cases are not high though 4 to 5 cases in a week are detected in some cases.
“Dengue cases are not at zero but it’s not alarming”, said a health official in Gomati Dist.
However, in North Tripura cases are a little higher which is the most vulnerable area for waterborne diseases.
Outlook India reported, "The Health Department has asked the people to be wary of a possible dengue outbreak, especially in semi-urban areas. From January 2022 till Oct. 18, 638 dengue cases have been reported in Mysuru and as the rains have continued, there is a concern that the disease might spread further".
UP is suffering heavily now due to Dengue spread whereas Delhi hospitals were asked to keep at least 10% of the beds free for vector-borne disease patients.
