AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): Tripra Motha Unakoti District Committee placed a deputation to the BDO of Chandipur Block under Kailasahar Sub-division of Unkoti District along with the entire state on Wednesday demanding immediate village council Election in each ADC village area of Tripura State. The deputation was led by MDC Dhirendra Debbarma, Tripra Motha Unakoti District Committee President Girendra Debbarma, Party Chandipur Block President Chandan Saha, Party District Committee Member Bireshwar Debbarma, Tripra Motha Women Cell Unakoti District Committee President Reshmi Debbarma and many others were present.

Before placing the deputation to BDO of Chandipur block, party workers and supporters started a rally from food go down premises of Chandipur block and circumambulated various roads under Chandipur block.

After placing deputation MDC Dhirendra Debbarma faced the media representatives and criticized the BJP government saying that the leaders of the BJP party claim that they are the biggest political party and they believe in democracy. Fact is, the BJP party is afraid to organise votes for village councils in ADC areas.

He also said that despite the orders of the High Court, neither the State Government nor the State Election Commission is taking any action till date.
