AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): After Village Council Poll was unexpectedly postponed centering Bru voters names’ publishing which the state said no possible before Jan-5, 2023, Tipra Motha party leaders have slammed the BJP Govt, accusing it is trying to keep the ADC in handicapped condition.
Addressing media in a press meet, Tipra Motha leader Animesh Debbarma said, “Municipal Polls could be held amid Covid situation but whenever it's about ADC votes, Tripura BJP Govt gets lots of Excuses for not conducting Election”. The statement came as for ADC poll also, case needed to be filed in High Court and now even after High Court’s order, the vote is not being conducted.
Debbarma further said, “Tripura Govt trying to appoint Tribal Welfare Dept in place of ADC administration, whereas both are not same. In last 5 years, Tribal Welfare has not done a single welfare”.
Tipra Motha alleged as per the state budget over 7000 crores have come for ADC and the state is not releasing even 3000 crores in aim to slash ADC development.
