AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): Tipra Motha party supremo Pradyot Manikya has expressed resentment against postponement of Village Council poll amid High Court’s order.

Pradyot Manikya said, “Democracy and rights are being abused of the Indigenous people . Another delay by the state election commission is a clear attempt to frustrate and break the will of the people ! We will now protest across the state . Even the hon high court order to hold VC election has been not respected”.

Village council committee lapsed in 2021 March and now it has been more than one and half years that the ADC has no village council. Tripura BJP’s fear to face VC Poll is now exposed and the intentionally created circumstances by BJP Govt is also bare
