AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): On Saturday, a group of people from Santir Bazaar area suddenly attacked a residence Amal Debnath (a licensed contractor of Shanti Bazaar). Later it was known that the attackers were involved in contractual work and centering work Amal Debnath was beaten up by a BJP-backed group. As a result of the attack, the contractor Amal Debnath sustained severe head injuries.
Later, contractor Amal Debnath filed a written complaint at Santir Bazar PS at night after receiving primary treatment at Santir Bazar District Hospital. Case was filed against Sujan Mitra, Ashim Mitra, Mohanta Mitra, Rahul Biswas and Amal Debnath.
The contractor Amal Debnath briefed the details of the incident before the media along with the names of the attackers.
