AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN):3 days back a woman’s dead body was recovered from the Kalyani area from a drain in broad day-light on last Wednesday. The dead body was primarily witnessed by locals and informed to the Police. Police rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body of the woman and led an investigation.

The demise was identified as Aparna Karmakar Ghosh, W/o- Dipak Ghosh and it is known since many years the housewife has not been staying with her husband due to innumerable Physical and mental torture.

However, after the incident demise’s daughter Dipanwita Ghosh filed a case at West PS as it was an Unnatural Death.

After an investigation the Police arrested a man identified as Satya Ranjan Ghosh for killing the woman by taking advantage of her intoxicated state. She was killed by Satya Ranjan Ghosh after raping her and fell on the drain in absence of locals.

Police are still digging the case to find out more details about the heinous crime in the city area, the incident has spread a fearful environment in the city Agartala.

The Scooty Register Number- TR01AS8364 was recovered by Police which was involved in this crime.
