AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya on Saturday said no member from any party should join Tipra Motha intending to get an MLA seat in the upcoming polls, rather it should come for ‘dopha’ (community).
The statement came after IPFT MLA Dhananjoy Tripura quit from MLA post yesterday and joined Tipra Motha.
On being asked by media whether there will be any alliance with the BJP party or not, Pradyot Manikya said that a written promise should be given from Home Ministry to the people of Tripura on Greater Tipraland.
“I do not believe in JUMLA. BJP should not end up with a written promise like 2018’s High Power Committee which was useless because the constitutional solution can not be given by any Committee as it’s the work of Govt of India”, said Manikya.
