24 hours after the complaint against the Panchayat member was lodged, there are allegedly attempt to supress the entire matter and police has been tightlipped over the issue and the accused person’s name thus has not come out.

An FIR was lodged in Khowai PS by the victim. It has been alleged that her husband was not in home on that time. Her husband went with his mother to hospital and taking the opportunity, the BJP leader entered the home and attempted to rape her.

She screamed to alert the neighbor and anyhow saved herself from the culprit.

The incident took place at Subash Park area in Khowai. So far no action was taken against the BJP leader.
