AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): Reportedly, Binang Kobra Para ADC Village and Shivnagar ADC Village which falls under Mandai RD Block and only 4 km distance between these two ADC villages. This road stretches from Binang Cobra Para to Lodi Bazar but the road has remained in poor condition for a long time. Two tribal youths of the area, Joy Debbarma and Vinod Debbarma, said that they have requested the Mandai Rd block’s village committees to construct this road several times but the village committees have not taken initiative to repair the road.

Maintenance was done a year back but not all places, the youths say they are common people and this is the main reason no Heavy Weight leader of that area gives importance to them. Presently, the pitch of the entire road has gone up including the metalling of the road and also big potholes have formed on the road and the road has become muddy in some places.

The villagers demand that the concerned department should take initiative to repair the road as soon as possible.
