AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): Dipankar Singha Roy, a BJP member was beaten up by BJP leader Mrinal Singha Roy and his group, suspecting Dipankar was working for Congress.

The incident took place at Rastar Matha, Surjamaninagar area, near Agartala.

Dipankar worked for BJP but after 2018 being frustrated with BJP’s infighting and other issues, he gave up party works and focused on his own works.

Recently, he was asked to work for party but he denied saying, he has to work for survival and then he was beaten up by his own party members led by Mrinal Singha Roy.

An FIR was lodged against the accused persons.
