AGARTALA, Oct 9 (TIWN): 2 power corporation workers were critically injured after falling on ground while changing the electrical transformer in the Melarmath area.

The injured were identified as Ranjit Laskar (42) and Nirmal Roy (35).

After the incident both the injured were taken to IGM Hospital first then the Doctors on duty noticing their critical condition referred them to Agartala GB Hospital.

They are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Often Power Department workers face minor or major injury but the Power Department does not take initiative to provide the workers minimum safety measures.
