AGARTALA, Oct 9 (TIWN): In a breakthrough, East Agartala Police arrested a wanted thief in Agartala who was organizing various theft incidents in Agartala city and also in various states with his gang.

Reportedly, the thief named Rajib Alam, S/O-Hajibul Alam was engaged in multiple theft, robbery related crimes and was living by hiding real identity. He was arrested from Bankumari area.

Talking to media, a police officer said, “It’s a gang of Inter-State bike thieves. They looted houses across Tripura, snatched chains from people. Yesterday we recovered bike from him and hoping more recoveries”.

“Rajib Alam is wanted not only in Tripura but also in Assam, other states”, said the police.

Rajib Alam is a resident of Kadamtala. Police are hoping to arrest more numbers of accused in the case.
