AGARTALA, Oct 8 (TIWN): Khowai PS Police on initiative of Khowai Subhash Park Outpost were on Naka Checking in front of Balaka Community Hall next to Pahrampur Bazar. During Naka Checking Police based on secret Sources information stopped a small lorry and led a search in the vehicle.
The Police recovered a total of 96 kg of cannabis from a secret chamber inside the lorry. The seized Cannabis price would be over Rs 3 lakhs. The Police detained the lorry but could ot arrest the driver, reportedly.
Sources said that the lorry was carrying Cannabis from Mohanpur area and was on the way to another place.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon near Pahrampur market under Khowai police station.
