AGARTALA, Sep 29 (TIWN): All India Progressive Students Forum (AIPSF) placed deputation to the headteacher of Umakanta English Medium School against the commercialization of government education in the name of Vidyajyoti scheme and demanding adequate number of teachers in all schools in the state. However, the Deputation was provided for DEO (District Education Officer).

The principal teacher agreed with the demand of teacher crisis but opposed the demand of withdrawal of the infrastructure fee of thousands of rupees in the name of Vidyajyoti project.  The organisation claimed e various facilities mentioned in the Vidyajyoti scheme such as - Medical services, smart classes, appointment of teachers for dance-song and other subjects, formation of student council, nothing has been done

The members of the organization said that this process of agitation will be carried forward until the demands are met and the entire student society as well as teachers and parents are called upon to come forward.
