AGARTALA, Sep 27 (TIWN): In the darkness of night, miscreants destroyed Banana trees of a farmer on which the farmer’s livelihood was dependent. The incident took place on Monday night in Maharanipur Kalibari Road area under Teliamura police station.
Reportedly, miscreants destroyed 250 banana trees in the banana garden of a farmer named Uttam Kumar Nag in the darkness of night on Monday night. The incident came to notice on Tuesday Morning but no one knows who did this. The farmer Uttam Kumar Nag, rushed to the spot after receiving the news and witnessed the miscreants destroyed around 250 banana trees of various species in his banana plantation in the dark of night by cutting. The victim farmer clearly did not accuse anyone in this regard, though.
In this regard, the farmer Uttam Kumar Nag said, this banana garden was his only resource to raise his family and make a living. The farmer said that he will inform the police about the incident.
