AGARTALA, Sep 27 (TIWN): A man was detained by the Police of AD Nagar PS on charges of forceful extortion.

The accused man was identified as Rakesh Deb, Police detained him based on a case 52 U/S-458. 153 A, 386, 323, 506, 34 IPC and the case was filed by Yusuf Alam, a tenant of West Pratapgarh, Agartala with an allegation of forcefully extorted Rs 400 from him. Yusuf is a resident of Boxanagar area.

Case was filed against Tapash Das and Subir Chakraborty along with Rakesh Deb.
