AGARTALA, Sep 20 (TIWN): Congress efforts to welcome voters in Congress party ahead of 2023 Assembly Poll are going on with full fledged. Ahead of 2018-Assembly Poll Congress supporters in group had joined BJP to defeat the 25years long run CPIM. Now, in this 4.5 years of BJP rule voters have become frustrated over BJP’s misrule and cheating. As a result, many voters from various Assembly Constituencies joining other Political parties.

Reportedly, 14 Badharghat Assembly Constituency Charipara Gram Panchayat member Mithun Sarkar, former panchayat member Vijay Sarkar SC Morcha member along with 50 voters from seven families quit the ruling BJP party and joined Congress party on Tuesday by holding hands of Congress leaders.

Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, former MLA Ashish Kumar Saha and other Congress workers welcomed them with party flags.
