AGARTALA, Sep 10 (TIWN): A political clash took place in Charakbai area under Baikhora PS last Wednesday, centering an indoor meeting of the Congress party. In the political clash, the Congress and the BJP parties both filed counter-lawsuits and Baikhora PS police arrested only 4 Congress supporters.

Over Police’s one-sided role, Youth Congress workers protested in front of the office of the Superintendent of Police of Belonia South District under the leadership of youth president Rakhu Das, with a demand to release of youth leaders and the withdrawal of false cases.

The protestors were involved in clashes with the police, after which the protestors sat in front of the office and staged a sit-in demonstration.
