AGARTALA, Sep 8 (TIWN): DYFI on Thursday gathered at the Police Head Quarter in Agartala with a demand to restore Democracy, to fix deteriorated ‘Law and Order’ and various other issues.

Flashback on Sept 2021, BJP backed miscreants vandalised various media houses like Daily Deshar Kotha, PB-24, Pratibadi Kalam’s office in a broad daylight (which was covered by media channels) under the leadership of BJP leader, Rajib Bhattavharjee, Papia Datta, Nabadul Bani, Tinku Roy under the shed of Police force, alleged leftist leader Nabarun Dey. Dey slammed the Police over increasing thefts, robberies, also the loot of various important Files from Police HQ, and the credits Police are taking after Public are catching thieves.

DYFI activists claimed that in the past 4.5 years of BJP only misrule has happened. It is alleged that over 4000 CPIM activists were attacked state-wide, 23 CPIM supporters were murdered, 900 CPIM Party offices were vandalised and set into fire, several lawyers were attacked, and robberies taken place but Police has not taken action accordingly. DYFI demanded the Police should take steps accordingly by restoring Democracy, by fixing deteriorated ‘Law and Order’ and on various other issues.
