AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN): The poor condition of the road at Champahoar Khowai once again pushed the locals to block road, demanding its restoration. Reportedly, the main road going to Gopalnagar via Khowai Champahaur has become pathetic for a long time, as a result the local residents are suffering while moving on that road and often minor and major accidents are occurring.
Despite informing the local authority repeatedly, nothing has been done. As a result, angst was created among the local residents about the whole issue, so the angst local residents were forced to block the road again on Wednesday.
After receiving the news of road blockade, the officials of the department rushed to the spot and assured the residents that the road would be repaired within a few days. After getting the promise, the residents have lifted the road blockade, but the residents are in conflict whether the promise given by the authorities will be implemented or if it will be done within a few days.
