AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): On Monday Congress’s youth leaders gheraoed Amtali PS over Police inactive role in detaining the BJP miscreants despite frequent attacks on Congress activists.

BJP miscreants frequently attacking on Congress activists in Amtali area, reportedly a few days back a woman was attacked brutally and had cut her hair, Police did not take an FIR accordingly. So Youth Congress gheraoed Amtali PS demanding the arrest of miscreants within 72 hours. After getting assurance from the Police, the Congress activists lifted the gheraoed.

The Youth Congress President Rakhu das stated that if the Police do not take action accordingly then the Youth Congress will again gherao the Amtali PS.
