AGARTALA, Sep 2 (TIWN): Police have arrested 28 persons in connection to violence conducted on 29th August during BJP National President J.P. Nadda’s rally.

A lot of BJP workers were attacked in various places by miscreants while on the way to attend J.P.Nadda’s rally in Khumulwng on that day.

“In connection with the incidents of attack upon BJP supporters on 29.08.2022 total 7 cases were registered. 01 person was arrested and notice u/s 41A CrPC was served to 28 persons for further legal action. Efforts are continuing to arrest other miscreants”, in a social media update Tripura Police have informed.

However, netizens have trolled Tripura police for never sharing such a social media post when other political parties are regularly attacked in this state.
