AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): Reportedly, a group of thieves broke the lock of the door of a shop known as Begum Enterprise at Durganagar Bazar in Bishalgarh PS late last night and looted cash along with mobile phones and other expensive items.

Later, the owner of the shop rushed to his on Thursday morning after receiving information from the neighbouring shopkeepers and he noticed that the gang of thieves took away mobile phones, cash including various other items.

Tafazzal Hossain, the owner of the shop, said that the thieves looted items of Rs 2 lakhs. However, Bishalgarh PS Police was informed about the theft incident.

The theft incident has caused fear among other shopkeepers.
