AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): SSA teachers and non-teaching staff who were promised by the BJP before 2018 Election that all contractual employees will be regularized if BJP voted to power remain hopeless as the Govt has miserably failed to keep the promise. On Thursday, the SSA teachers met the project director raising the NC which means the No Certificate issue as many job holders were not brought under regularized scale even after completing the necessary courses. Before 2018 Election, SSA teachers were in hunger strike for 7 days and on that time Biplab Deb, Ratan Lal Nath and top BJP leaders shared the dais with the teachers and assured them that they will be regularized.
On being asked, what the other demands the SSA’s association have, SSA teachers’ leader Bastab Debbarma said that their main demand has been “regularization” but even after High Court’s order, only a partial regularization was done by this Govt.
Also SSA teachers, nonteaching staff are deprived of a large amount of salary which was also placed in the deputation.
SSA teachers’ association also raised demands for the non-teaching staffs regularization issue. The association said, if Govt immediately does not keep its promise then SSA association will go into the massive protest.
